The Experiment - Follow Up

Some of you may recall the post from last year regarding our "experiment" that attempted to show Lydia how water evaporates. We weren't successful at the time, but decided to persist since it wasn't yet the "dry season."

Two days ago marked the 6-month point into the experiment and we're back into the "humid season" with four dehumidifiers running 24/7. I think it's time to declare the experiment over.

Here are the results:

• The 4.75" of water dropped less than 1" over a period of six months.


• Lydia lost interest in checking it daily long ago!

So now you understand why, when we're in Kansas for the summer, we say things like "it's humid today? really?" We're looking forward to the dry heat! :)
