R&R in Borneo

Wow, just one week back and our trip to Borneo seems like a long time ago already! This week was jam-packed with school activities, work, playdates, high drama in Daisy Scouts (a tale for another day), and all the errands and housework that must be done after nearly three weeks away. It really makes me appreciate all of the leisurely, fun activities we did last week.

Here’s a photo recap of the place we stayed and the activities that filled most of our days.

The Shangri-La Rasa Ria Resort had beautiful grounds.

The beach had soft sand, clear water and gentle waves.

We jumped...
and climbed...

and Lydia gave herself therapeutic mud baths.

After all that time in the sand, we could have cleaned up using the traditional practice...

but opted to shower instead!

The pool was paradise for kids!

It wasn't bad for adults either...

I loved the beach huts!

They were a great place to hang out in the mornings.

We played lots of games...

and watched the beautiful sunsets.

It's really too bad that every day can't be a day at the beach!
