The final leg of the trip was far less eventful than the prior week! While our stay in Tokyo was very brief, it's definitely a place we would like to return to for a longer visit. All the people we encountered were very, very nice - even the people who processed us through immigration! (In China, immigration workers greet people with stony silence; it always makes me nervous as they glare at my passport!)
We arrived in Hong Kong early in the afternoon. We reported our luggage as lost, then were escorted to the person who would drive us to our new apartment. We went outside for the first time in what seemed like days - and it was HOT. And humid. Summer hadn't arrived in Kansas, but it's going strong here! Even though our day was going well, I think this photo of Lydia sums up how we all felt as we rode through Hong Kong.
We arrived at our apartment complex, The Manhattan, and headed up to our new home.
We are on the ninth floor, which is considered a "low floor zone." By our standards, it's not very low. But, we still have a nice view...
We spent time unloading the little stuff that we had with us and orienting ourselves to our new place. We were bone tired by dinner time and didn't have any food. So we ordered delivery...and didn't feel so far away from home.
Your view is amazing! I'm glad the imigration greeters sensed that you needed a smile. So does Hong Kong Pizza Hut taste the same as Olathe Pizza Hut?
