Yet Another Plan

Wow, we've had quite an adventure without getting too far from home. We made it on our 6 a.m. flight to Dallas without a hitch, but then...

Our flight arrived a little late in Dallas due to thunderstorms in the area. The storm got worse and all flights from the airport were delayed. Our flight to Vancouver got cancelled after 3+ hours of delay. The only American Airlines counter that wasn't swamped was the one to Tokyo. By a strike of luck, the person working the counter was extraordinarily helpful...and Tokyo is pretty close to HK.

We're now scheduled to fly to Tokyo at 2 p.m. this afternoon (weather permitting), will connect on Japan Air to Hong Kong and will arrive at 10 p.m. Our luggage is on its way to Vancouver - we think.

Meanwhile, we've had a very exciting time at the Dallas Airport...but more on that later!

  3. You have become the queen of rolling-with-the-punches! I hope the flight out of Dallas was successful and the next update we receive will be from Hong Kong. Can't wait to hear about the airport antics.

  5. What an exciting adventure you've had before it really has even begun! Hopefully you're finally in HK and settling in. Like Angela, looking forward to hearing a good ole' fashioned airport story. :)

  6. I spent HOURS delayed in the Dallas airport once and missed a cruise ship. They don't seem to "do" thunderstorms very well. Glad you made it out of there.
