Monday was Lydia's first day of summer school at The Woodland School. We were holding our breath last week when the government announced that schools would close for the summer due to the swine flu. But, apparently, if certain requirements are met (e.g. the temperature of every child must be taken prior to entering the school, hand sanitizer everywhere, etc.), some schools can re-open. It was a very exciting day for all of us!!On the bus:

At the end of the day, Lydia hopped off the bus like it was nothing new. She reported that she had a lot of fun at school and made some new friends. Then, we were off to the swimming pool. A very successful day!
The chalkboard in the bottom shot is screaming out for a drawing. Thank goodness the kids were able to get back so the chalk dust can fly. Lydia looks so pleased! Happy day for everyone :->
