Christmas in July

Yesterday was a very exciting day - our sea shipment arrived with all of our 'stuff' from Kansas City. We said good-bye to our rental furniture and our things started to come in...



And kept coming...


And coming...



And...you get the idea...


We had felt really great leaving Kansas City - our movers said we had about half as much stuff as most people in homes the size of ours. However, once all the boxes and furniture were in the apartment, we began to worry that we'd completely over packed. Lydia's room was looking especially tight - consolidating a playroom and bedroom into one room appeared to be our biggest space challenge.


Lydia, on the other hand, was without worry - she had spent the afternoon at the pool with a new friend and her friend's mom. She came a very happy girl.



Now that we've unpacked, sorted, and began putting things away, our place is beginning to shape up. We'll post the "after" pics once all the boxes are hauled away.
