Africa by 10

This morning Lydia announced that we need to go to Africa before she is ten years old.  This was news to Dave and me.  She further informed us that the reason we need to go to Africa before she is ten is because it would be much easier for her to learn Swahili then, rather than when she is older.

Dave remarked that that’s why it’s great that she’s learning Mandarin now.  Lydia didn’t see the relevance at all.  What does that have to do with going to Africa and learning Swahili?

I admire her enthusiasm for learning something new.  Plus, you never know when Swahili will come in handy.

Clearly, we’re not in Kansas anymore.

(PS - We haven't booked tickets to Africa...yet.)
